After this week’s action-packed SmackDown, WWE has officially announced another thrilling match for WrestleMania 40. Naomi, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair are slated to team up against Damage CTRL.
Expressing her excitement, Naomi took to social media to share her reaction to the addition of the six-woman tag team match to the WrestleMania 40 lineup. Following the conclusion of WWE SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed the exciting news.
Naomi shared the match graphic on Instagram, captioning it with enthusiasm,
“CARGILL, BELAIR & NAOMI vs. #DamageCTRL @Jade_Cargill, @BiancaBelairWWE & @TheTrinity_Fatu will battle @wwe_asuka, @official_kairi & @imkingkota at #WrestleMania XL!”
In the main event of the evening, Bianca Belair emerged victorious against Dakota Kai.
However, her celebration was cut short when The Kabuki Warriors launched an attack, only for Naomi to come to her rescue. Despite facing the numbers game initially, Cargill leveled the playing field by taking out Damage CTRL single-handedly.
Belair, having a history with Damage CTRL dating back to 2022, has renewed her feud with the group.
Her alliance with Naomi, who intervened to support Bayley against Damage CTRL, underscores their unity against a common enemy.
In a previous exchange on Twitter, Belair reassured Naomi of her unwavering support in their battle against Damage CTRL, stating,
“Sometimes you need those people that can validate your feelings but also get you to see the other side… I heard you @TheTrinity_Fatu and I receive it. I got YOUR back.”
With the confirmation of the six-woman tag team match, WrestleMania 40 marks Jade Cargill’s debut on the grand stage. Meanwhile, Naomi, a former SmackDown Women’s Champion, aims to make a resounding statement alongside Belair at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
