Toys For Bob and Xbox have finalized a collaboration agreement, marking the newly independent studio’s debut in crafting a game for Xbox.
As reported by Windows Central’s Jez Corden, Matt Booty of Xbox purportedly informed staff members about the concluded deal between the two entities.
However, Booty refrained from divulging specifics regarding the nature of the upcoming game.
In recent times, Toys For Bob has been at the helm of acclaimed titles such as Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, and even contributed to Call of Duty: Warzone.
Previously under the ownership of Activision Blizzard since 2005, Toys For Bob parted ways following Microsoft’s acquisition of the latter.
“Sources have indicated to [Windows Central] previously that Toys for Bob’s culture didn’t gel well with Activision’s oft-restrictive corporate mandates, and they were excited for the opportunity to spin out as independent in agreement with Microsoft,” notes Corden.
