The well-loved tag team, Motor City Machine Guns, have apparently had their last match for Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling.
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been big names in TNA Wrestling history. Since they joined in 2003-2004, they’ve done well individually.
But some of their best moments happened as The Motor City Machine Guns tag team. They’ve won lots of World Tag Team Championships around the world, in places like TNA, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), and Ring of Honor (ROH).
Their contracts with TNA are said to be ending soon, possibly by the end of March, and it seems like they won’t be renewing them.
A recent report from PWInsider mentioned that The Guns had their final match for TNA against Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers for the TNA Tag Team Championships at a recent show in Philadelphia. After the event, the current roster gave them a heartfelt sendoff, making it a pretty emotional moment.
Motor City Machine Guns might join All Elite Wrestling (AEW)
Fans have been buzzing with speculation about where Motor City Machine Guns might go next once their TNA contracts are up.
According to PWInsider, even though TNA wants to keep Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, many backstage think they’ll leave.
The report also suggests that AEW might pick them up, possibly to revive their rivalry with The Young Bucks.
The Guns and The Young Bucks have had lots of matches in RoH and NJPW over the years, so it could be exciting to see them face off again in AEW.
It’ll definitely be interesting to see what Motor City Machine Guns do next once their contracts with TNA are over.
