Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell has shared his thoughts on a potential storyline twist involving The Rock and Cody Rhodes.
The tension between The Final Boss and The American Nightmare has escalated recently, with both wrestlers exchanging heated words.
The Rock even treated fans to “The Rock Concert” on SmackDown, taking shots at Cody and his family.
On social media, the multi-time WWE Champion vowed to defeat Cody with his belt and then taunt Cody’s mom with the bloodied title.
In response, Cody Rhodes delivered a fiery promo on Monday Night RAW.
During the latest episode of Smack Talk, Mantell suggested that The Rock could add fuel to the fire by firing Cody Rhodes, using his authority as a member of the TKO Board of Directors.
As Cody’s technically his subordinate, The Brahma Bull holds the power to terminate the two-time Men’s Royal Rumble winner.
“He’s [The Rock] the Final Boss! Then he turns around to really get heat, and he fires Cody just to p**s everybody off! They’ll all hate him then! ‘Cody get your a*s outta here! ‘I’m tired of looking at you!”’
said Mantell.
In recent weeks, The Rock has been vocal about his support for Roman Reigns and his quest for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania XL.
The Final Boss is gearing up for one last appearance on the go-home episode of Monday Night RAW before the highly anticipated Show of Shows.
