WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry is backing Cody Rhodes to secure the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania XL, following a fiery exchange with Roman Reigns on SmackDown.
In a tense showdown, Rhodes found himself ambushed by Reigns’ allies Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, only to be rescued by Seth Rollins and Jey Uso, surprising the Tribal Chief.
Reflecting on the incident on the Busted Open Podcast, Henry praised Rhodes’ readiness for any potential betrayal, viewing it as a positive indicator for his storyline progression.
“They [The Bloodline] had a plan and they executed the plan almost to perfection until we found out that Cody came prepared. And I thought that was the best part of it is when you think that you got everything set up, and then something happens that proves, ‘You know what? Maybe you should’ve done a little bit better preparation,’ I’m all in for it. Cody is on par with doing what everybody in the world thinks should be done,”
Henry remarked.
Looking ahead, WWE RAW is set to witness a blockbuster appearance from both The Rock and Roman Reigns, intensifying anticipation for WrestleMania XL.
The Rock, in particular, teased fans with an electrifying message on Instagram, hinting at an explosive return to the red brand.
“The FINAL BOSS WILL ELECTRIFY BROOKLYN ON MONDAY NIGHT RAW⚡️✊🏾 Now sit back, shut your mouths and ENJOY THE RIDE THE ROCK IS TAKING ALL YOUR CANDY A**ES ON 🤫 ONE NIGHT ONLY,”
he declared.
This year’s WrestleMania promises to be monumental, with The Rock’s first official WWE match in eight years set to charm audiences.
