Former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler has recently chimed in on the ongoing narrative surrounding Cody Rhodes and his quest to “finish his story” in the WWE.
Rhodes, since his return to the company, has been vocal about his desire to capture the WWE Championship, a title that eluded his father, the legendary Dusty Rhodes.
This aspiration has been central to his storyline, as he seeks to fulfill a legacy left unfinished by his father.
In a recent appearance on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Ziggler offered his perspective on Rhodes’s motivations.

While acknowledging the two-year storyline, Ziggler found amusement in the idea that Rhodes’s quest for the championship was solely driven by his father’s legacy.
“I appreciate this two-year story, I really do. I just think it’s so funny that finishing the story isn’t like the end of the storyline, it’s like ‘No, he has to win ’cause his dad wasn’t champion.’ That’s the story?”
Ziggler remarked.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes recently delivered a poignant and emotional promo on Monday Night RAW, where he expressed his determination to win the WWE Championship and dedicate it to his mother, in honor of his late father.

However, his display of emotion didn’t sit well with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who publicly criticized Rhodes for his tears during the promo.
Expressing his disgust, The Rock mockingly addressed Rhodes’s emotional outburst, suggesting that it might explain why his fans were perceived as crybabies as well.
“It will be interesting to see what Rhodes has to say in response to The Rock’s recent remarks,”
