In a recent observation, veteran journalist Dave Meltzer shed light on Triple H’s approach to selecting WWE Hall of Fame inductees, noting a semblance to Vince McMahon’s methodology.
The latest additions to the Class of 2024 include notable names like Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, The U.S Express, Muhammad Ali, and Thunderbolt Patterson, reflecting a diverse array of talent.

Meltzer, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, highlighted Triple H’s adherence to a pattern evident in McMahon’s selections, emphasizing the inclusion of both a female wrestler and a black wrestler in each class.
“It’s interesting that Thunderbolt is now allotted in the WWE Hall of Fame. The one thing that we learned is when Vince McMahon picked the Hall of Fame, they had a certain quota thing, which was [that] there has to be a black wrestler and there has to be a woman wrestler in every class. And in the new Hall of Fame, it appears that that is the same thing. There’s one woman, which was Bull Nakano and Thunderbolt,”
Meltzer explained.
He also hinted at the forthcoming induction of Lia Maivia, The Rock’s grandmother, as a promoter, further diversifying the class.
Amidst these announcements, reports surfaced of Lia Maivia’s impending induction into the esteemed club this April, adding another layer of significance to the upcoming ceremony.
He’s been a promoter, a manager, an executive, a “Wiseman,” and now, a @WWE Hall of Famer.

Meanwhile, Triple H took to Twitter to celebrate Paul Heyman’s anticipated headlining induction.
In a heartfelt tweet, he lauded Heyman’s multifaceted contributions to the industry, from promoter to manager, affectionately referring to him as a ”Wiseman.”
As anticipation builds for Heyman’s induction speech, speculation mounts regarding the wrestler chosen to induct the former ECW-owner into the prestigious club, promising an evening filled with emotion and nostalgia.
