Fans eagerly anticipated the return of Mia Yim, also known as Michin, to WWE, particularly under the creative guidance of Triple H. However, her second stint with the company, at 34 years old, has failed to meet expectations for many.
Michin made her comeback to the wrestling giant in November 2022 after being released the previous year. Initially aligning with The O.C., she assisted AJ Styles and his cohorts in their feud against The Judgment Day.
However, since the conclusion of that storyline, her involvement has been minimal, lacking any significant programs.

Adding to the disappointment, Michin has consistently found herself on the losing side of matches. Her last televised singles victory occurred over a year ago.
Since being drafted to SmackDown in 2023, she hasn’t secured a one-on-one win on the brand. This trend persisted most recently when she succumbed to Tiffany Stratton in just over two minutes, receiving little offensive opportunity in the process.
Fans expressed their discontent with Triple H’s handling of the returning star. Some suggested that perhaps Michin is better suited as a stepping stone for others, recognizing the challenges of standing out in WWE’s competitive roster.

Following her disheartening loss on WWE SmackDown, Michin conveyed her frustration during a post-match discussion, acknowledging her slump and the need for change to regain momentum.
“I’m puzzled. I’m doing everything as I should. This is my calling, yet I feel out of place. Why am I here? What’s the purpose? Something needs to shift,” Michin voiced.
Although Michin initially aligned with The O.C. upon her return in 2022, the group disbanded, leaving her to navigate her current predicament independently as AJ Styles pursued his own path, while Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson ventured into NXT.
It appears that Michin must now chart her course for redemption solo.
