A former RAW Tag Team Champion has hinted at a comeback to challenge Bobby Lashley ahead of WWE WrestleMania XL.
Omos, known as the Nigerian Giant, has been sporadically competing in recent months. After a hiatus of nearly five months, he returned in January for the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match but was swiftly eliminated. Since then, he’s been absent from WWE TV.
In an interview with the Battleground Podcast, Omos shared his aspirations for 2024, expressing his desire to feature on the WrestleMania XL card:
“Yeah, I think obviously, the one coming up is the big Super Bowl of WWE. So hopefully I get to have a match at WrestleMania. That is always my goal every year to be on that card. Because no WrestleMania is a dream for some but man, it’s an honor for me whenever I get to be out there, you know, be with the fans and just absorb the atmosphere of about 80,000-100,000 people, there’s nothing like that. It’s always my biggest goal every year, absolutely,” he said.
Additionally, the 29-year-old expressed interest in reigniting his feud with Bobby Lashley, hinting at a desire for a rematch:
“Hey, man. I would love that rematch. I need my rematch, Bobby,”
Omos added.
Despite his absence from WWE TV, Omos has been active in live events, notably facing Akira Tozawa in multiple matches and emerging victorious each time.
Meanwhile, Bobby Lashley has formed The Pride stable on SmackDown alongside The Street Profits and B-Fab, and is currently embroiled in a feud with Karrion Kross’ stable, The Final Testament.
Although Lashley fell short in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match for a shot at Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, he still awaits an opponent for the event.
With Omos eyeing a return and Lashley seeking an adversary for WrestleMania XL, a potential showdown between the two former rivals could be on the horizon. Would you like to see Omos face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania XL? Share your thoughts in the comments.
