SKY’s journey to the top has been remarkable, culminating in her victory at the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match last July. She capitalized on her opportunity by cashing in at SummerSlam 2023 to capture the WWE Women’s Championship.
However, her reign faces a significant challenge as she prepares to defend her title against Bayley at WrestleMania XL.
In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Bayley opened up about her disappointment with WWE’s handling of Damage CTRL. Despite holding the Women’s Tag Team Championships, Bayley expressed a sense of insignificance within the group, attributing it to a lack of connection with the audience.
“Definitely. Yeah, there was a time, even when the girls were the Tag Champions, where we just didn’t feel important. And I was like, ‘Man this is, I know you guys have the titles, but this is not at all what I envisioned for us. And I think everything’s being wasted right now’. And that was our fault too, the fans weren’t connecting to us, they weren’t buying into us. We just weren’t used in the way that I thought we should be,”
Bayley revealed.
With tensions rising between SKY and Bayley, anticipation builds for their showdown at WrestleMania XL.
As SKY prepares to defend her title against a determined challenger, fans eagerly await to witness the outcome and see if SKY can solidify her reign as a dominant force in WWE’s women’s division.
