Within WWE’s dynamic roster lies rising star Tiffany Stratton, whose journey from early setbacks to championship contention showcases her resilience and growth.
Despite being just 24 years old, Stratton has already left a significant mark in WWE, clinching the NXT Women’s Championship and earning a coveted spot on the main roster.
In a candid interview with Chris Van Vliet, Stratton revisited her tumultuous NXT debut, recalling a match against Fallon Henley in 2021 that fell short of expectations, leading to her swift removal from television.
Reflecting on the experience, Stratton acknowledged the wake-up call it served, highlighting the steep learning curve she faced in the ring:
“My entire NXT run, I feel like everything just happened so fast. I had only trained for eight weeks before even debuting on TV. Yeah, so that was scary. And my first match was atrocious, it was so bad. Then I got taken off TV for a couple of weeks. And I was like, I’m gonna come back better than ever.” – Tiffany Stratton
Stratton attributed her early struggles to a lack of understanding of crowd engagement, admitting to feeling overwhelmed and underprepared in her initial outings:
“Back then I really didn’t know how to work a crowd or even, I didn’t really know who I was in general. You know, it was kind of just thrown out there and, like, told to figure it out a little bit.” – Tiffany Stratton
However, fueled by determination, Stratton seized the opportunity to refine her skills, dedicating herself to improvement after returning to the Performance Center. Despite setbacks, her resilience paid off, evident in her subsequent matches, notably against Iyo Sky, which showcased her true potential.
With her eyes set on Backlash France’s Triple Threat match for Bayley’s WWE Women’s Championship, Stratton remains optimistic about her trajectory, underscoring her commitment to growth and advancement within WWE:
“So I worked really hard. I came back, I had my second match against Iyo Sky actually. And it was amazing. And then just I kept learning and I kept getting better with every single rep. And I think they saw that. And yeah, like, the sky’s the limit for me right now.” – Tiffany Stratton
As Stratton’s journey unfolds, her resilience and determination serve as a testament to her potential to ascend to the upper echelons of WWE’s elite.
