WWE recently trimmed its roster, bidding farewell to several names after a Friday Night SmackDown episode marked a new chapter in professional wrestling.
Among those released were notable figures like Sanga, who had joined WWE’s developmental brand a few years ago, forming the Indus Sher alongside Veer Mahaan. Later, Jinder Mahal joined the trio, and they moved to Monday Night RAW in 2023.
Following their release, Sanga took to Twitter to address the situation, highlighting the absence of Indian talent in WWE despite the company’s aim to attract viewers from the country.
“I’m saddened that despite India’s vast talent pool, the company hasn’t embraced homegrown athletes,” he expressed in a video.
Sanga’s focus on representation overshadowed his own release, as he assured fans of Veer Mahaan and Jinder Mahal’s well-being post-departure.
Jinder Mahal had a strong start in 2024, engaging in high-profile matches including a showdown with The Rock. However, the momentum waned, leading to his release alongside his Indus Sher teammates during SmackDown.
We are all always positive, and we expect everyone to be super positive🙏😊

Both Veer Mahaan and Jinder Mahal shared their thoughts on social media following their WWE exit. Veer emphasized the importance of honor and respect for Indians, while Jinder’s tweets were concise.
The future endeavors of the trio remain uncertain, but fans await eagerly to see their next moves in the wrestling world.
