Before he became known as Bray Wyatt, the iconic WWE superstar was Husky Harris, a persona that debuted in 2009.
Initially, Wyatt performed under this name in Florida Championship Wrestling, NXT, and later as part of the Nexus faction. Despite being a creation of Vince McMahon, Husky Harris failed to resonate with the audience.
Triple H, a WWE Hall of Famer and influential figure in the company, discussed Wyatt’s early days in the recent documentary “Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal.”
He admitted that Husky Harris was a miscast and didn’t showcase Wyatt’s true talent. Consequently, Triple H decided to work with him and sent him back to Florida for a reevaluation.
“Windham was in the company as Husky Harris. Didn’t feel like it was working. Didn’t feel like it was going to work, ‘I think we had a miscast. He’s really talented. Let me take him, put him back down in Florida, and let me see what I can get out of him!'” said Triple H.
By 2012, Rotunda was reintroduced as Bray Wyatt in NXT, a character that would skyrocket his career. His creativity and genius flourished, establishing him as a prominent WWE superstar.
