Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently shared his thoughts on Jade Cargill’s impactful debut on SmackDown.
During the episode, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis stepped into the ring to introduce the newest addition to the blue brand. Cargill was handed a contract, which she promptly signed before addressing the WWE Universe with a compelling promo.
In an exclusive interview with Wrestling’s Smack Talk podcast, veteran wrestler Dutch Mantell discussed the segment, acknowledging its effectiveness in introducing the newly signed star.
Mantell noted Cargill’s portrayal as a heel during the promo, signaling her intent to make a significant impact in the locker room.
Reflecting on the interview, Mantell remarked,
“Well, it didn’t blow me away. She said what she had to say. She came off a little bit like a heel I think. But, other than that, it was basic, to the point, good introduction for her.” He added, “Yeah, her introduction was good and it accomplished what they wanted it to accomplish. It didn’t blow anybody away, they would hope it would do that. It was just a basic interview and she introduced herself. No harm done, she advanced. That’s all I can say.” [5:12 – 6:36]
