Veteran wrestling writer Vince Russo believes WWE should incorporate Rhea Ripley into RAW’s storyline despite her injury.
Ripley was sidelined after a vicious attack by Liv Morgan, forcing her to surrender her title last week and announce her absence for a few months.
Russo, reflecting on his time in the Attitude Era, suggested that injured stars like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin would still appear on the show even if they couldn’t wrestle.
“In the Attitude Era, if somebody got hurt, they were still on the show. They just wouldn’t wrestle. We did that all the time,” Russo explained. “Rhea Ripley is a huge star. Why can’t they write for her without having her wrestle? I don’t understand this… Why isn’t she on the show now? She’s got her arm in a sling, she can’t get on an airplane?”
Despite her absence, WWE crowned a new Women’s World Champion through a Battle Royal, with Becky Lynch emerging victorious.
The question now is whether Lynch can maintain her title reign until Ripley’s return, potentially setting the stage for a WrestleMania rematch between the two stars.
