Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently shared his insights on potential shifts in WrestleMania XL plans, particularly regarding The Rock’s rumored match-up.
In a segment from the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette suggested that WWE may have reconsidered their original plan of booking The Rock against Roman Reigns for a blockbuster showdown. According to Cornette, recent developments indicate that The Rock’s match against Cody Rhodes could be seen as a bigger draw. Cornette even speculated that when Reigns returns, he might be positioned as a babyface.
Jim Cornette Speculates on Potential Changes to WrestleMania Plans
“Originally we were gonna have Rock and Roman and one would’ve thought Rock would have been the babyface. But now, if we have Rock and Roman, I bet you that Roman will be the babyface except do we get Rock and Roman because now they know that Rock and Cody is a much bigger money match than anything else,” Cornette explained.
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns made waves during the WWE Draft by voluntarily withdrawing himself from consideration. This decision prompted intrigue and speculation surrounding Reigns’ future direction, especially with The Bloodline undergoing changes and adding new members.
In subsequent developments, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga confronted Paul Heyman about the Draft, expressing dissatisfaction with the management’s uncertainty regarding The Bloodline’s lineup. This interaction culminated in The Bloodline’s eventual drafting to SmackDown in Round Three.
With Reigns currently absent due to his withdrawal from the Draft, the stage is set for compelling storylines and potential confrontations upon his return, particularly in response to Solo Sikoa’s assertive actions within The Bloodline.
