Despite Ricochet’s presence on WWE’s main roster for some time, his potential was underutilized under the previous management.
However, speaking on Keepin It 100, Konnan expressed optimism about Ricochet’s prospects under Triple H’s new regime, acknowledging the long-awaited push for the talented wrestler.
“I also wanted to say that in the Ricochet match, finally they’re pushing this guy, it only took them five years, and they put him over in commentary. So, it looks like he’s finally going to get a sustained push… Cause you remember Hunter [Triple H] worked with him in NXT. So, Hunter saw his talent firsthand, and I worked with him in Lucha Underground, and I always thought that the next great wrestler would be Ricochet after Rey Mysterio.”
Konnan highlighted how Vince McMahon’s previous regime stifled Ricochet’s potential during his tenure on the main roster.
Triple H’s impact on WWE’s creative land has been significant since assuming control from Vince McMahon in 2022.
Following McMahon’s departure from TKO Group Holdings due to legal issues, Triple H became the sole head of creative, steering the company towards unprecedented success, culminating in the historic WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia.
During the first RAW post-WrestleMania, Triple H addressed the audience, celebrating WWE’s record-breaking achievements over the weekend.
He then introduced Cody Rhodes as the Undisputed WWE Champion before exiting the ring, leaving fans curious about the upcoming developments under his leadership.
