Nexon has announced the closure of its live-service multiplayer game, Warhaven, on April 5, 2024, marking the end of its journey just four months after its global early access launch.
The announcement, shared on Steam, stated that sales of Warhaven’s battle pass will be immediately suspended. The developer plans to provide players with an updated shutdown schedule at a later date.
Expressing gratitude for the community’s love and support, the developers conveyed their appreciation: “Warhaven has come this far, thanks to everyone’s love and support. We want to express our gratitude for the love and care you have shown for Warhaven.”
The statement further emphasized the dedication to creating a game meant for long-term enjoyment despite its shortcomings: “To create a game that could be cherished and enjoyed over an extended period, we invested much consideration and effort. Despite all the shortcomings, we will deeply cherish the warm affection and support you have sent towards Warhaven in our hearts. Thank you for being part of Warhaven’s journey.”
Warhaven’s journey began with its first alpha test in 2021, leading up to its global early access debut in September 2023.
