Despite Cody Rhodes recently commencing his tenure as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Vince Russo is convinced that his WrestleMania 41 adversary has already been determined.
The American Nightmare clinched victory over Roman Reigns at this year’s WrestleMania, marking the culmination of their intense rivalry.
Much of the buzz surrounding Rhodes’ triumph stems from The Rock’s involvement in the narrative.
The 8-time WWE Champion even attempted to thwart Rhodes’ victory on April 7th. However, a surprising intervention from The Undertaker altered the course of events.
During Wrestling’s UnSKripted, Vince Russo speculated that The Rock and Cody Rhodes would lock horns at WrestleMania 41, citing their recent interaction on WWE RAW.
“Bro, I would already say it’s [set] in stone. I would already say [The] Rock vs. Cody at WrestleMania 41. Absolutely (…) I think that is in stone. I think they laid it down last night. [The] Rock’s gonna leave, so you know, so he’s gonna be going for a while. But I think they laid down the roots last night. I think that’s their WrestleMania 41 match.” [18:02 onwards]
While the future holds intriguing possibilities, the identity of The American Nightmare’s inaugural challenger for the prestigious championship remains uncertain.
