Bravo is making some changes to the usual production cycle of “Vanderpump Rules.”
Following a emotionally intense season 11, primarily focused on the aftermath of Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’s affair, the network is reportedly granting the cast a much-needed break from filming.
Traditionally, “Vanderpump Rules” has adhered to a summer filming schedule. However, according to sources cited by Us Weekly, season 12 will deviate from this pattern, with cameras not rolling during those months.
While NBC Universal’s channel has not yet officially confirmed another season, the decision to delay filming aligns with the cast’s expressed desire for some time off.
Andy Cohen, host of “Watch What Happens Live,” commented on the hiatus, noting that such breaks are not uncommon for Bravo reality shows. He emphasized that this break will allow the cast members to “live their lives” away from the cameras before returning to filming.
Cohen also highlighted Ariana Madix’s upcoming hosting role on “Love Island” as a factor contributing to the decision.
Ariana, who parted ways with Sandoval after discovering his infidelity, has openly discussed going through one of the toughest periods of her life. Her candid portrayal of her healing journey on-screen has earned widespread acclaim.
Other cast members, including Lala Kent, have also spoken about feeling emotionally drained after a tumultuous season.
This planned hiatus from filming presents an opportunity for the “Vanderpump Rules” team to regroup and recharge. It’s a strategic move that is likely to result in a renewed, more authentic season once filming resumes.
