However, the developers promptly addressed a major problem leading to server crashes with a hotfix, and as of the current moment, Steam reviews are on the rise following another crash fix.
To delve into this unfolding tale, our attention has been captivated by Enshrouded since it stole the spotlight as the most-played demo during the October 2023 Steam Next Fest. Its captivating blend of Dark Souls-style combat and Valheim-like elements garnered significant attention.
The official launch into Steam Early Access on January 24th was met with criticisms of low FPS, subpar optimization, and server crashes, dampening the overall reception. While not quite a disaster, these issues did have a noticeable impact on the day-one rating.
The predominant concern was crashes, particularly when players attempted to enter a private server from a list. However, the developers swiftly released Hotfix 1 to address list-related crashes, followed by Hotfix 2, which tackled “several causes for random crashes.”

It remains premature to predict whether Enshrouded will reach the soaring heights achieved by the record-breaking and controversial survival game Palworld, which has dominated internet attention since its recent launch. Nevertheless, Enshrouded has embarked on a solid journey.
