Enshrouded offers players the option to engage in battles using melee, ranged, or spell-based combat. If you favor the latter, finding the Alchemist in the game is crucial. This guide will walk you through the process of locating the Alchemist in Enshrouded.
How to Find the Alchemist in Enshrouded
You can find the Alchemist by heading to his specific Ancient Vault, which is further northwest of your initial base/starting point and directly west of the Ancient Spire – Springlands fast travel point.
How to Reach the Ancient Vault – Alchemist
To reach the Enshrouded Alchemist’s Ancient Vault, it’s recommended to use the Springlands Ancient Spire (assuming it’s already unlocked as a waypoint). This vantage point provides a clear view of the surrounding countryside, and you can use the Glider to swiftly make your way to the west.
If you choose to go on foot, it’s still advisable to use the Glider, employing the dodge-roll exploit when necessary. When facing sloping paths and hills, jumping and activating the Glider will force your character to roll, allowing you to climb steep inclines.
Ancient Vault – Alchemist Interior
Upon reaching the Ancient Vault, you’ll encounter several scavenger enemies outside and at least three inside—the entrance and two more within the pod chamber itself. You can eliminate them from afar with a bow or engage them at close range with a melee weapon.
Once the area is clear, interact with the glowing pod to rescue the Alchemist. Afterward, fast travel back to your home base. Similar to rescuing the Blacksmith, you must construct a shelter for the Alchemist or place him in the same building as the Blacksmith to complete the side quest.
Alchemist Crafting Functions
The Alchemist offers various crafting recipes suitable for survival and spellcasting, including:
Health Potion: Requires 1x Red Mushroom, 1x Purple Berries, and 1x Water; heals +200 HP.
Shroud Survival Flask: Requires 1x Charcoal, 1x Shroud Liquid, and 1x Wood Acid; extends maximum time in the Shroud by two minutes.
Fireball I: Requires 10x Resin, 1x Tar, and 2x Bonemeal; enables casting the Fireball spell with your staff.
Ice Bolt: Requires 2x Water and 5x Shroud Liquid; enables casting the Ice Bolt spell with your staff.
