In a candid interview on the KiddChris Show, LA Knight, also known as The Megastar, revealed the behind-the-scenes details of his infamous fight with fellow WWE star AJ Styles before WrestleMania XL. The two wrestling superstars were involved in a heated rivalry on the Road to WrestleMania XL, which culminated in a bloody brawl at the WrestleMania press conference, leaving Styles with a busted nose.
According to Knight, the fight was unplanned and arose from their proximity to each other at the press conference. “I knew we were going to fight at some point,” Knight said, as they were seated close to each other in the room. The tension eventually boiled over when Styles tossed a stool in Knight’s direction, prompting an immediate response from The Megastar. The altercation eventually required security intervention to separate the two wrestlers.
The incident served as a precursor to their match at WrestleMania XL, where Knight emerged victorious over Styles. However, Styles would ultimately gain revenge in the tournament final to determine the No. 1 Contender for Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash.
The rivalry between Knight and Styles extended beyond WrestleMania XL, as they both participated in the King of the Ring tournament. Although Styles was eliminated in the first round by Randy Orton, Knight advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Santos Escobar. He is now set to face Tama Tonga of the Bloodline in the next round.
Other notable WWE superstars participating in the KOTR tournament include Gunther, Ilja Dragunov, Jey Uso, Carmelo Hayes, and the winner of the matchup between Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio.
Knight’s revelation about the unplanned fight sheds light on the intense rivalry between him and Styles, which has charmed WWE fans worldwide. As the King of the Ring tournament unfolds, all eyes will be on Knight and his opponents, eager to see if he can continue his momentum and make a deeper run in the competition.
