WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker, delved into the legacy of Roman Reigns’ monumental title reign and his subsequent absence from television.
Reigns has epitomized the essence of World Wrestling Entertainment for years, culminating in a remarkable title reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
However, his reign came to a dramatic end at WrestleMania XL Night Two, where he yielded the title to Cody Rhodes, marking a significant shift in the terrain of WWE.
Speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker speculated on potential feuds for Rhodes leading up to WrestleMania 41, suggesting that Reigns might take a hiatus from television following his historic tenure:
“Roman [Reigns] is probably gonna take a little bit [of] time off, I would guess. I mean that run that he had is really incredible. I think he’s going to take some time off and then no telling where that goes.” [16:42 – 17:02]
Meanwhile, on The Kurt Angle Show, another WWE Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle, shared his perspective on the unfolding storyline involving Reigns and The Rock within The Bloodline.
Angle expressed his initial anticipation for The Rock to dethrone Reigns, highlighting the intrigue surrounding The Great One’s potential involvement in the championship picture:
“You know what? It was really cool. I really enjoyed how they were able to intermingle The Rock into the storyline. I thought The Rock was going to come back and beat Roman Reigns for the world title. It was like, okay, you almost could read it was going to happen. I don’t know if they changed things because they were listening to the fans or whatever, but [The] Rock turning heel was genius.”
As the WWE terrain evolves, the absence of Reigns and the potential feuds with Rhodes cast a shroud of uncertainty over the future dynamics of the wrestling world, leaving fans eagerly awaiting his return and the unfolding drama that awaits.
