In a bold move, The Elite, comprising of Executive Vice Presidents of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), The Young Bucks, have bolstered their ranks by recruiting Dutch, Vincent, and Lance Archer. The trio recently cut a promo, sending a stern warning to their opponents, namely Bryan Danielson and FTR, ahead of their Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2024.
During the promo, Dutch emphasized the importance of seizing power and taking control of one’s life. Lance Archer chimed in, stating, “The ones who are in control are the ones who are in power.” Vincent added fuel to the fire, declaring, “And we are the ones who are in control.” The promo sent a clear message to their opponents: The Elite is not to be underestimated.
This development comes on the heels of a string of brutal assaults backstage and in the arena. AEW’s Jacksonville-based company has witnessed a spate of violent incidents, including Tony Khan being assaulted by The Young Bucks and a returning Jack Perry. Kenny Omega, who recently returned to AEW, was also assaulted by The Elite during his promo. Moreover, AEW World Heavyweight Champion Swerve Strickland was attacked by Christian Cage on the orders of The Young Bucks. Strickland also suffered a betrayal at the hands of his stable, The Mogul Embassy.
The addition of Dutch, Vincent, and Lance Archer to The Elite’s roster is a strategic move, designed to strengthen their position ahead of the highly anticipated Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2024. Dutch and Vincent have a history of working together as part of the Righteous stable in Ring of Honor (ROH), where they last competed together in a Six Man Tag Team Title match against Dalton Castle and The Boys in 2022.
As the wrestling world waits with bated breath to see how The Young Bucks will utilize their new recruits, one thing is certain – The Elite is sending a clear message to their opponents: they will stop at nothing to emerge victorious. With their Anarchy in the Arena match fast approaching, it remains to be seen how this new alliance will play out and what implications it will have on the AEW landscape. One thing is for sure, however – The Elite is ready to take control and assert their dominance.
