According to Bloomberg, an internal email from The Dark Anthologies Picture maker has notified 150 employees that their positions are potentially at risk of being eliminated.
A spokesperson from Supermassive stated that the company is “entering into a period of consultation, which we anticipate will result in the loss of some of our colleagues.”
Under UK labor laws, employers are required to provide advance notice before implementing large-scale layoffs.
This announcement follows shortly after the departure of Supermassive founders Pete Samuels and Joe Samuels from their positions within the studio.
Just last month, news surfaced that Supermassive’s game Until Dawn had been approved for a movie adaptation.
