Supercell’s latest game, Squad Busters, made a notable impact in its first month following its May 29 launch. According to Sensor Tower data, the game amassed $24 million in revenue during this initial 30-day period. Despite a decline in revenue to $3.7 million in the week of June 17, there was a slight recovery to $3.9 million the following week.
In terms of downloads, Squad Busters achieved significant success, totaling 40 million downloads across both the App Store and Google Play within the same launch timeframe. The majority of these downloads occurred during the game’s initial release phase, with the United States leading in both download numbers and player spending.
On its launch day alone, Squad Busters generated approximately $1.1 million in revenue and was downloaded around 8.8 million times. These figures underscore the game’s strong debut, although they fall short of the benchmarks set by some of Supercell’s earlier titles.
For instance, Brawl Stars, released in 2018, raked in $43 million during its first month, marking a 79% revenue advantage over Squad Busters. Clash Royale, launched in 2016, remains the top performer with $115 million in revenue during its initial 30 days.
Despite these comparisons, Squad Busters’ 40 million downloads demonstrate a solid start and potential for growth, especially as Supercell continues to refine and expand the game’s features and monetization strategies.
