Disney Dreamlight Valley’s latest content update, set to debut on Wednesday, February 28th, heralds the arrival of two beloved characters from Monsters, Inc.: Sully and Mike Wazowski. Developed by Gameloft, this eagerly awaited patch promises a host of exciting features and enhancements, all provided free of charge.
The centerpiece of this update, dubbed the Laugh Floor Update by Gameloft, is the introduction of Mike and Sulley to Dreamlight Valley.
Players will have the opportunity to explore a brand-new playable Realm, immersing themselves in the daily lives of these iconic monsters before they join the village as permanent residents. Each character brings with them a set of unique friendship quests and rewards, adding depth and variety to the gameplay experience.
In addition to the debut of Mike and Sulley, the Laugh Floor Update introduces a wealth of new customization options for player avatars. From fresh skin tones to special eye contact and ear styles, there are now even more ways for players to personalize their in-game appearance.
Furthermore, Scrooge McDuck’s shop receives an expansion, offering a wider selection of items for players to purchase with their hard-earned in-game gold.
To celebrate the update’s release, Gameloft is gifting all players two free items via their in-game mailbox: a miniature version of the iconic Partners statue found in Disney theme parks featuring Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse and the stylish Dreamlight Armour outfit.
Alongside these free content additions, the Laugh Floor Update brings various quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, as outlined in Gameloft’s patch notes.
Players will have the opportunity to purchase the Lovely Monsters Star Path seasonal progression track, along with its associated rewards, using premium currency. The Premium Shop also receives an array of new items for players seeking something extra special.
This update marks the first significant content expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley since its initial release in December. Following the launch of the extensive A Rift in Time paid expansion, which introduced a plethora of new features and experiences, players can look forward to a vibrant array of upcoming additions throughout 2024.
Early spring will see the arrival of a new villager, likely Daisy Duck, followed by a Realm inspired by Mulan in late spring and the introduction of Tiana from The Princess and the Frog in the summer months. With each update, Dreamlight Valley continues to evolve and delight players with its charming blend of Disney magic and village simulation gameplay.
