Rocksteady, the developer behind Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has acknowledged the persistent login and server issues plaguing the game as its “top priority.” Despite this commitment, the studio cautioned that resolving all these issues might not happen immediately.
In an official statement released on their website, Rocksteady empathized with players’ frustration and admitted the unacceptable nature of these ongoing problems. They clarified that the issues were not stemming from a single source but rather from various smaller problems impacting players differently.
Axel and the Rocksteady Team, in the statement, assured players that upcoming patches would aim to tackle login and server issues. However, they acknowledged the possibility that not all issues could be addressed right away due to the complexity of the situation. They urged patience from the player community and encouraged continued communication through Customer Support to help resolve these issues effectively.
Regarding future plans, the development team highlighted the immediate focus on addressing login and server problems. They acknowledged a gameplay imbalance where acquiring Promethium for certain missions required excessive completion of Metropolis missions.
To rectify this, the team announced a significant adjustment to this gameplay loop, starting with the Raising Hell mission, which will now offer 3000 Promethium upon Tier 1 completion, with increased rewards for subsequent tiers.
Furthermore, adjustments are planned for mutators such as Boom! and Affliction Immunity, along with a potential overhaul of lesser-utilized legendary items based on player feedback.
In other news, a new leaderboard is being introduced due to a major unintended bug causing the Burn status to scale incorrectly. Rocksteady noticed this issue as players reached unexpectedly high Mastery Levels post-game, leading to unbalanced damage scaling. The developer assured players that the bug fix is in progress and that a new leaderboard will be launched once the issue is resolved.
Reflecting on the game itself, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been described as a “totally fascinating game” with significant potential and meticulous attention to detail from Rocksteady. However, it has been noted that the game lacks a cohesive central theme.
