Sony Interactive Entertainment is taking strides to expand the reach of its PSVR 2 headset by introducing support for PC users.
This move comes approximately a year after the initial launch of the virtual reality hardware.
In a recent announcement on the PlayStation Blog, Sony expressed its enthusiasm, stating, “We’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PSVR 2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PSVR 2 titles available through PS5.”
The company aims to roll out this capability at some point within the current year.
While precise sales figures for the PSVR 2 remain undisclosed, reports from May 2023 indicated that it had achieved sales of 600,000 units within six weeks of its launch.
This figure represents an 8% increase compared to the original PSVR sales during the same period.
