Vince McMahon is currently embroiled in a sexual trafficking lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, which has caused significant controversy. The lawsuit alleges that McMahon distributed explicit content of Grant without her consent, involving other WWE personnel, undisclosed executives, and wrestling stars.
In the aftermath of these serious allegations, Vince McMahon has formally stepped down from both WWE and TKO Holdings, vehemently denying the accusations and expressing his intention to contest them.
Seth Rollins, while speaking to Fightful at the WrestleMania 40 kickoff Green Carpet event, shared his thoughts on the situation. Rollins expressed his disapproval of the allegations, stating that it is a “crap situation” and describing it as “horrible” and “disgusting.” He emphasized that if the allegations are accurate, he hopes anyone involved faces the consequences.
“It’s a crap situation. I said it in that interview on radio row. It sucks. It’s horrible. It’s disgusting. I don’t like hearing about it, reading about it, it’s abhorrent. I hope, if the allegations are accurate, I hope anybody involved with it gets what’s coming to them. It sucks. For me, it’s very difficult because I didn’t see that side of him. I didn’t experience that. When you see stuff like that, it’s jarring and it’s painful. It sucks all around. There is just no other way to say it. It sucks. It really sucks.”
The controversy surrounding Vince McMahon has led WWE to actively work on excluding him from the WWE 2K24 video game, indicating a deliberate effort to distance the company from his image. The outcome of the legal battle and its impact on McMahon’s future with WWE remain uncertain as the situation continues to unfold.
