The target of Ripley’s remarks was none other than Zelina Vega, with whom she has engaged in numerous confrontations in the ring. Despite their real-life friendship, Ripley has consistently emerged victorious in their recent encounters.

Vega, known for her sharp tongue, recently teased Ripley ahead of her match against Nia Jax at Elimination Chamber, playfully dubbing her “jerk face” and suggesting she might shed tears during the bout.
However, Ripley didn’t hesitate to fire back during the press event, where she partook in the Australian tradition of the “Shoey” with Grayson Waller. A fan on Twitter suggested Ripley use her shoe as her version of “La Chancla,” a nod to Vega’s signature flip-flops.
The suggestion caught Ripley’s attention, prompting her to deliver a direct hit at Queen Zelina, as evidenced by her tweet:
“Kiss my a** @ZelinaVegaWWE,” Ripley wrote.
In a recent appearance on The Ringer’s Wrestling Show podcast, Ripley delved into the inspiration behind her current character, citing admiration for the style of music bands. She embraced the rebellious attitude and aesthetic, incorporating elements like studded jackets, black makeup, and edgy hair into her WWE persona.
“The way that they dress and the way that they acted. They didn’t care about what anyone thought. And I really aspired to be like that. I love the studded jackets, I love the painted jackets. I love the black makeup, the black hair. I’ve always loved that grungy look. And that’s been me, deep down. I’ve just been hiding it for so long because I was trying to be the girl next door, the beachy sort of vibes, but it wasn’t me. But after I had a little discussion with myself, I stopped caring about what they wanted from me.”
