Mysterio’s interference assisted Carlito in securing the victory. Following the match, the LWO had an interview with Kayla Braxton, where Dragon Lee welcomed the WWE Hall of Famer back to SmackDown.
There’s speculation that Rey Mysterio might consider adding the former NXT North American Champion, Dragon Lee, to the LWO.
Mysterio has consistently endorsed Lee both on NXT and the main roster. The current lineup of LWO includes Rey Mysterio, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Zelina Vega, and Carlito.
Santos Escobar, once a prominent member of the faction, turned against them by costing Rey Mysterio the United States Championship at Crown Jewel 2023. The animosity escalated with Escobar attacking his mentor on the November 10, 2023, episode of SmackDown.
A potential clash between Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar is brewing for WrestleMania XL. The two superstars previously faced off on the September 29, 2023, episode of SmackDown, where Rey retained his United States Championship against Escobar.
Given the existing hostility, there’s speculation that a gimmick match might be in the works for WrestleMania XL, such as a mask versus hair or a career versus control of LWO match.
The confirmed matches for WrestleMania XL include Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship, IYO SKY vs. Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship, and Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch for the Women’s World Championship.
