Triple H’s journey to the top of WWE wasn’t without its challenges, as revealed by a recent interview. Cameron Grimes, who recently departed the company, opened up about the internal power struggle he witnessed during his time there.
Grimes shared insights on Busted Open Radio, shedding light on the ongoing tension between Triple H and Vince McMahon within the organization. According to him, this struggle had a significant impact on many wrestlers, particularly those affiliated with Triple H.
During Grimes’ tenure, McMahon still held considerable influence, creating a dichotomy where wrestlers were either aligned with Triple H or McMahon. Unfortunately for those favored by Triple H, the power dynamics at the time often worked against them upon moving to the main roster.
“At the time, Vince was still in charge, being a Hunter guy didn’t really help you that much, during that period,”
Grimes remarked.
With McMahon’s departure, Triple H has taken the reins of WWE’s creative direction.
This transition signifies a shift in how talent is managed and stories are developed. The recent success of WrestleMania 40 stands as a testament to the positive changes under Triple H’s leadership.
As WWE prepares for the upcoming Draft, fans eagerly anticipate how Triple H will continue to shape the future of the company.
