Jade Cargill, former AEW TBS Champion, made her long-awaited in-ring debut at the 37th annual Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, and she’s wasted no time in calling out the top stars of the WWE women’s division.
Her surprise entry into the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, positioned at number 28, showcased her dominance as she lasted over 11 minutes and secured three eliminations, including notable names like Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and Naomi. Despite her impressive showing, she was eventually eliminated by Liv Morgan.
Since her debut, Cargill has found herself on SmackDown, although her brand affiliation has yet to be solidified. In an interview with FOX News, she expressed her desire to take on the best in WWE, mentioning stars like Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Nia Jax, and Becky Lynch.
“I want to take down everyone – the Rhea Ripleys, the Bianca Belairs, the Nia Jax, the Becky Lynchs. All of them. They all are in my territory and in the way of me being phenomenal, like I know I am,” said Cargill.
While her brand allegiance remains uncertain, WWE is reportedly gearing up to feature her in a prominent storyline leading up to WrestleMania 40.
Fans are eagerly anticipating her return to TV in the near future, eager to see what she brings to the table in WWE’s competitive women’s division.
One particular highlight from her Royal Rumble debut was her face-off with Bianca Belair, sparking speculation about a potential showdown between the two powerhouse athletes.
In an interview with Denise Salcedo for Instinct Culture, Cargill expressed her admiration for Belair and her eagerness to collaborate with her, whether it be in the ring or as allies.
“[What about that face-off that you had with Bianca Belair?] I know. I know. I mean, we’re gonna see what happens. I think I would rather work with the great Bianca Belair. I think she’s phenomenal. I think she’s a great representation of the African-American community. And I just, you know, we’re gonna make magic whether we work against or together. We’re gonna make magic,” Cargill commented.
Despite her impressive Royal Rumble debut, Cargill had not stepped into the ring since her loss to Kris Statlander at the AEW Rampage tapings on September 13, 2023. However, her arrival in WWE has already generated significant buzz and anticipation for her future matches and rivalries.
