Damian Priest, the current Undisputed Tag Team Champion and Mr. Money In The Bank, shed light on the reasons behind his repeated failures to cash in the Money In The Bank briefcase.
In a recent interview, Priest explained that being on RAW and with Seth Rollins as the champion, who is currently not medically cleared, has been the primary obstacle. He emphasized that he must wait until Rollins is cleared to officially cash in.
Priest pointed out that his Money In The Bank contract is valid until July 1st, giving him time to bide and not rush into a cash-in attempt. He acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding Rollins’ availability and hinted at the possibility of becoming a World Champion on either RAW or SmackDown.
“Well obviously, I’m based on RAW, and being that Seth Rollins is the champion unfortunately he’s not medically cleared, so I can’t cash in right now because officially he can’t be in a match. So I kinda have to just wait until he’s cleared or you know, if I find myself on the other show, it’d be different, but that champion isn’t around all the time either.”
Regarding R-Truth’s status for the upcoming Elimination Chamber, where The Judgment Day, Priest’s faction, is expected to be present, Priest humorously expressed uncertainty about Truth’s whereabouts, speculating on destinations like Australia or Japan.
The ongoing saga between R-Truth and The Judgment Day has provided entertaining segments for fans, showcasing the humorous interactions and attempts by Truth to join the faction since his return to WWE at Survivor Series.
