Palworld continues its remarkable ascent in early access, surpassing renowned titles like Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam’s all-time charts.
The monster-taming, base-building survival sensation achieved an estimated peak of 1,200,000 concurrent players, as reported by the Steam Database.
This milestone places Palworld as the sixth game ever to cross the one million threshold, joining the ranks of colossal titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Dota 2, MMO Lost Ark, Counter-Strike 2, and PUBG: Battlegrounds.
With its soaring success, Palworld now holds the record for the paid game with the highest concurrent player peak, surpassing even the impressive numbers of Cyberpunk 2077.
Notably, the only games with larger concurrent player peaks are free-to-play, although it’s worth mentioning that PUBG had higher numbers even before transitioning to free-to-play.
#Palworld now boasts the highest concurrent player count of any paid game in Steam’s history! We’re incredibly grateful to everyone. Thank you so much. The team is diligently working to enhance Palworld even further!

However, Steam estimates do not provide the complete picture, as Palworld is also available on Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, and the Epic Games Store.
Developers at Pocketpair revealed that the game had surpassed 1.3 million concurrent players across all platforms, though connectivity issues during co-op play are still impacting server performance.
Palworld’s rapid ascent to the top is noteworthy, especially when compared to the gradual growth experienced by other craft-and-survive games like Valheim.
The game quickly reached an impressive peak of 200,000 players within hours, only to quadruple that number the following day. Additionally, Palworld achieved two million copies sold in just 24 hours, all while maintaining positive user reviews on Steam.
For those caught off guard, Palworld’s captivating premise offers a unique monster-taming experience where Pokemon-like creatures wield machine guns, and players can put their Pals to work in factories.
The game embraces an edgy personality, allowing players to capture other humans and sell their parts on the black market, evoking both delight and horror among players.
