Nintendo has officially announced a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase scheduled for later this week.
In a statement released earlier today, Nintendo confirmed that the Partner Showcase, which highlights third-party releases rather than Nintendo’s own produced games, will occur on Wednesday, February 21.
The 25-minute presentation will concentrate on “Nintendo Switch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.” Unlike a live stream, the showcase will be available via YouTube, starting at 06:00 PT/09:00 ET/14:00 GMT.
A #NintendoDirect: Partner Showcase is coming! Watch on-demand via YouTube on 21/02, 15:00 CET, for around 25 mins of info focused on #NintendoSwitch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.

Nintendo’s announcement follows a recent multiplatform reveal from Xbox, during which Microsoft disclosed that four of its games would be expanding to new platforms. Xbox head Phil Spencer refrained from revealing the specific games, indicating that the privilege of unveiling new partnerships rested with the developers. However, there is speculation that some of these games may be headed to Nintendo.
Reports suggest that Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment will be the first two games launching on Nintendo Switch, with Sea of Thieves and Grounded also rumored to be making their way to new platforms. While these games may present challenges in adapting to the Switch hardware, the possibility remains open.
Although there’s no confirmation that Nintendo is directly involved in these multiplatform agreements, rumors circulated suggesting that the company delayed its Direct presentation in response to last week’s Xbox podcast.
