Night 1 of the WWE Draft kicked off on SmackDown, setting the stage for more picks on RAW. Carmelo Hayes, formerly of NXT, joined SmackDown’s roster but faced defeat against Cody Rhodes. In a video shared by WWE, Nick Aldis, SmackDown’s GM, reached out to Hayes, who humorously requested a signing bonus.
“Absolutely, you’ve got my number so go ahead and send me that signing bonus, Nick, when you get a chance,” said Hayes.

While Aldis has signed Bron Breakker, he envisions bigger challenges, notably Roman Reigns, for the rising star.
However, he acknowledges Breakker’s need to navigate through the roster first.
“Down the road? Roman. Down the road. But we are not there yet, and that’s absolutely fine. But listen, he has got to, just because I believe in him, you know,”
Aldis expressed in an interview with Bill Apter.
As the draft progresses, fans await more surprises from Aldis and Adam Pearce on RAW’s upcoming episode.
