The buzz surrounding Marvel’s Fantastic Four reboot continues to grow as rumors suggest that the iconic superhero team will face off against the notorious Mole Man in the film’s opening sequence. According to insider Jeff Sneider, actor Paul Walter Hauser is in talks to portray the enigmatic villain.
Sneider shared insights, stating,
“Today, a source told me that the script opens with the Fantastic Four defeating Mole Man, and that makes sense to me — a big action sequence to start the movie, so Hauser would only be needed on set for 2-3 weeks, after which he’d be free to pursue his many other projects.”
The Mole Man, created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, made his debut in The Fantastic Four #1 in November 1961. Known for dwelling underground, he commands the Moloids, humanoid monsters he discovered and rules beneath the Earth’s surface.
In the comics, the Mole Man is depicted as a disfigured outcast seeking revenge against the surface world. With his army of Moloids and advanced technology, he frequently clashes with the Fantastic Four in attempts to conquer humanity.
The casting of Hauser aligns with the character’s complex persona, making him a fitting addition to the MCU’s expanding roster of villains.
Marvel’s Fantastic Four reboot has garnered attention with its star-studded cast, including Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm.
Helmed by director Matt Shakman and screenwriter Josh Friedman, the film is set to commence production in summer 2024, promising a thrilling new chapter in the MCU.
Mark your calendars for the release of Fantastic Four on July 25, 2025, as Marvel continues to redefine superhero storytelling on the big screen.
