Indie game publisher Mystic Forge has raised €2 million from ForsVC and ROM Utrecht Region. This money will help the company expand its collection of games and develop new titles.
Co-founder Paul Hanraets expressed that the investment will allow Mystic Forge to broaden its portfolio and acquire additional titles. While the company operates on a global scale, it also has a strong commitment to contributing to the gaming ecosystems in Utrecht and Belgium, highlighting a dual focus on global reach and local impact.
Jeffrey Williams, senior investment manager at ROM Utrecht Region, emphasized the partnership’s benefits to the local gaming landscape. He noted that Mystic Forge’s industry expertise and extensive network will not only enrich the regional gaming ecosystem but also attract more investment to the area, fostering growth and innovation.
Mystic Forge, established in 2023 by Paul Hanraets, Randy Greenback, and Vernon Vrolijk, all veterans from Good Shepherd Entertainment, specializes in strategy, simulation, and RPG games for PC. With the new investment, the company is poised to strengthen its position in the industry and contribute significantly to the gaming sectors in both Utrecht and Belgium.
