After the pay-per-view event, UFC CEO Dana White announced Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return to the octagon. McGregor is set to make his comeback at the promotion’s annual International Fight Week event, culminating in UFC 303 on June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The Irishman’s bout against Chandler will be a five-round 170-pound fight.
In a recent interview with ‘TheMacLife’, Chandler congratulated Holloway on his victory and discussed the possibility of challenging him for the BMF title after his clash with McGregor.
Michael Chandler’s Interest in Fighting Max Holloway
The former Bellator champion expressed his respect for Holloway’s skills and stated,
”Hats off to Max… Max would be a guy. I would love to fight for that belt at some point. Obviously, I got a job to take care of here in 76 days, but, man, I would love to fight for that BMF belt eventually, too, and the lightweight belt.”

While Chandler’s next bout is confirmed, Holloway’s future remains uncertain. In his post-fight interview, he called out the reigning featherweight and lightweight champions, Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev, with a bout against Topuria appearing likely.
Conor McGregor took note of Max Holloway’s stellar performance at UFC 300 and praised him for his outstanding display against Justin Gaethje. During the post-fight press conference, Holloway discussed potential future matchups after securing the BMF title, hinting at McGregor as a potential adversary down the line.
McGregor responded to Holloway’s comments with a congratulatory message, indicating mutual respect between the two fighters.
Holloway and McGregor previously faced off at UFC Fight Night 26 in August 2013, where McGregor secured a victory via unanimous decision. With both athletes now established superstars in the UFC, a potential rematch between them adds an intriguing dimension to the promotion’s lineup.
