Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry are once again making waves in the entertainment world with two exciting new projects in the works at Netflix. These ventures are part of the big deal the couple signed with the streaming platform in 2020 under their Archewell Productions banner.
The first project will feature Meghan herself, exploring her passions for cooking, gardening, entertaining, and fostering meaningful connections. Produced in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation, known for their acclaimed series such as Hulu’s The D’Amelio Show and A&E’s Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath, this series promises to offer viewers an intimate view into Meghan’s world.
Executives from Archewell Productions and IPC will work alongside each other to bring this vision to life.
Polo Passion: Meghan & Harry’s Sporting Saga
In addition to this, Meghan and Prince Harry are set in the fascinating world of professional polo. Filmed primarily at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, at The USPA National Polo Center, this series will provide an in-depth look at the sport’s glamor and the dedication required to compete at the highest level.
With Prince Harry’s personal connection to polo, this project holds particular significance. Boardwalk Pictures, known for their work on Netflix’s Chef’s Table and other acclaimed series, will produce the series.
Miloš Balać, esteemed for his work on FX’s hit docuseries Welcome to Wrexham, will serve as showrunner for the polo series. Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will executive produce alongside other key figures from Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures.
Royal Renaissance: Meghan & Harry’s Entertainment Empire
Both projects are still in the early stages of production, but they represent the latest endeavors from the royal couple as part of their collaboration with Netflix. Following the success of their Harry & Meghan docuseries and other ventures like Live To Lead and Harry’s Heart of Invictus documentary series, expectations are high for these upcoming releases.
With Netflix content chief Bela Bajaria hinting at more projects to come, including a movie and scripted series, the future looks bright for Meghan and Prince Harry as they continue to expand their presence in the entertainment industry.
From impressive documentaries to compelling podcast series, their commitment to storytelling and making a positive impact remains unwavering.
