At Comic-Con 2024, Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series, including Daredevil: Born Again, were notably absent. However, Marvel made up for this omission at D23 by revealing the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again. Although the trailer hasn’t been officially released online, the glimpses shown suggest that fans of the previous Daredevil series will find plenty to be excited about.
The trailer showcases Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, in action-packed sequences that reaffirm his status as a formidable superhero. Returning characters from the original show, such as Karen, Foggy, and Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin), make appearances.
Notably, Fisk’s familiarity with Matt Murdock’s alter ego, Daredevil, indicates that Daredevil Season 3 continuity remains intact. A memorable diner scene between Matt and Fisk is reminiscent of a similar scene from the movie “Heat.” Additionally, Matt sports various Daredevil masks, including a yellow one from She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.
Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, the Punisher, in the trailer. However, it appears that Frank does not remember Matt Murdock, and he seems to have seen better days since his last appearance in The Punisher Season 2. The trailer also teases the debut of White Tiger, a vigilante with a white costume, though some fans speculate he might actually be Muse, a newer antagonist from Daredevil’s lore, due to their similar appearances.
The cast of Daredevil: Born Again includes returning actors Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, and Wilson Bethel. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025, and production for its second season is already planned to begin soon.
D23’s Day One was packed with exciting reveals beyond Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel also showcased the Human Torch’s costume from The Fantastic Four: First Steps, while Star Wars’ Skeleton Crew got its first trailer, and Lucasfilm previewed new clips from The Mandalorian. Pixar announced Toy Story 5, and Avatar 3 received its official title.
