LootRush, a blockchain startup supported by venture capital firms Paradigm and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), is introducing a new gaming subscription today, granting users access to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from over 500 games on its platform.
Launched in May 2022, LootRush, headquartered in San Francisco, is a crypto gaming platform enabling users to engage in any game through NFT rentals. Additional benefits include rental discounts and premium support via Discord.
Anderson Ferminiano, CEO of LootRush, highlighted a notable feature of the subscriptions, emphasizing users’ flexibility to request almost any NFT, ensuring a diverse gaming experience within 24 hours, even with rare or less accessible assets.
Described as a ‘golden ticket’ by the CEO, the new subscription offers LootRush gamers the opportunity to explore various games. The pricing comprises three tiers, starting at $15 per month.
The first tier provides subscribers with up to $250 off fees and up to $100 in monthly NFT request credits, catering to casual gamers keen on going into the web3 gaming.
Ferminiano likened the subscription to a golden ticket, enabling users to sample multiple games using special game pieces without purchasing them individually.
According to a report by PwC, global gaming revenue is expected to increase from $227 billion in 2023 to $312 billion in 2027.
Recently, Australian venture capital firm King River Capital, blockchain gaming firm Immutable, and Polygon Labs announced the launch of a $100 million fund dedicated to gaming.
In 2023, blockchain gaming-related investment rounds totaled an estimated $1.7 billion. Data from Messari suggests that Immutable and Polygon Labs collectively command a 70% market share of total blockchain gaming development, following significant industry growth.
