Logan Paul, known for his versatility, successfully defended his United States Championship at WrestleMania XL in a Triple Threat Match against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.
In an unconventional move, he brought in 19-year-old Darren Jason Watkins Jr., aka IShowSpeed, for his WWE debut, adding a unique twist to the event.
Reflecting on the viral moment during a recent episode of his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul commended IShowSpeed’s energy and charisma, highlighting the effort it took to convince WWE and Triple H to allow the young creator to appear.
“When I was pitching him [IShowSpeed] to the WWE, it took a little massaging, it took a little finessing for us to convince them that we had this young creator, who by the way, is still a teenager. The kid’s 19 years old, who’s just an internet phenom. Everything he touches goes crazy viral because he’s got that, like, charismatic, contagious energy,”
Logan Paul said.
This isn’t the first time Logan Paul has brought outside personalities into his WWE matches, having previously involved KSI at WrestleMania 39.
In another playful interaction, Logan Paul, portraying a heel character in WWE, joked about being “bullied” by ring announcer Samantha Irvin on Twitter.
Despite the theatrical persona, Logan Paul’s presence has undeniably stirred up attention in WWE circles.
Fans can anticipate Logan Paul’s continued reign as United States Champion, with potential matchups brewing for SummerSlam 2024, such as a clash with top babyface LA Knight, as he solidifies his status as a polarizing figure in WWE.
