Logan Paul, reigning WWE United States Champion, and fellow YouTube sensation Bradley Martyn seemed to bury the hatchet through an unexpected avenue: a covert MMA showdown.
Virginia Glaze from Dexterto broke the news, detailing the recent event where Paul took to social media, proudly declaring his victory in “humbling a bodybuilder” in a bare-knuckle brawl. This clandestine confrontation signaled a pivotal turn in the ongoing saga between the two online luminaries, stirring up considerable curiosity among their fan bases.
The origins of Paul and Martyn’s feud trace back to 2020 when Paul publicly offered $10,000 to any influencer who could best him in a wrestling match. Martyn, considering himself a worthy opponent, expressed interest, fueling the animosity between them.
Additionally, tensions escalated when Martyn sided with Nate Diaz in predicting Jake Paul’s victory over Logan’s brother in a 2023 boxing match. Paul’s subsequent disparagement of Martyn as “lame” prompted Martyn to challenge him to settle their differences mano a mano at Martyn’s Zoo Culture gym, devoid of cameras and publicity.
The secretive altercation took place at Zoo Culture gym, with Paul and Martyn reconciling afterward, seemingly content with the resolution. In a moment captured on social media by Paul’s friend and podcast co-host Mike Maljak, the two men embraced, with Paul expressing gratitude to Martyn for allowing the confrontation to occur.
The footage, however, remained incomplete as Martyn allegedly unplugged all cameras, denying eager fans a complete view of the encounter.
While Paul has yet to officially venture into MMA, his involvement in combat sports is not unprecedented. He has participated in exhibition boxing matches against renowned fighters such as Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Dillon Danis.
Furthermore, he recently challenged Cody Rhodes for the WWE Universal Championship, albeit unsuccessfully, at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event, showcasing his ongoing engagement with the world of professional wrestling.
