LA Knight, formerly known as LA Knight, experienced frustration with his WWE journey despite garnering significant fan support.
Transitioning from his Max Dupri gimmick, Knight became a fan favorite, yet faced delays in receiving substantial push from WWE.
In a recent interview with The Ringer, Knight candidly discussed his frustrations, expressing concerns that WWE’s hesitation to capitalize on his popularity could lead to waning fan interest.
“I’m getting these big reactions…but there were weeks of, ‘There’s nothing for you to do.’ I’m like, ‘Was anybody listening? Was anybody watching?’…There was one time, I blew up…the place was all for me,”
Knight revealed.
Despite initial setbacks, Knight noticed a positive shift, with WWE gradually acknowledging his potential. Reflecting on the delay, Knight admitted,
“I was also thinking, ‘You’re going to make them wait so long. They’re going to stop caring.'”
As Knight awaits further opportunities in WWE, his journey takes an exciting turn with his WrestleMania debut on the horizon.
Set to face AJ Styles, their rivalry intensified after Styles thwarted Knight’s chance at the World Heavyweight Championship. In retaliation, Knight invaded Styles’ home, escalating tensions leading to their showdown at WrestleMania.
