WWE fans were electrified when Jey Uso made his entrance at Backlash France last Saturday in Lyon, France. The Yeet Master’s high-energy entrance was reminiscent of the late Bray Wyatt’s iconic entrance, complete with fireflies lighting up the stadium. In a recent WWE Digital Exclusive interview with Cathy Kelley on RAW, Jey Uso opened up about the emotional ovation he received and the special connection he felt with the late Bray Wyatt.
As Jey Uso made his way to the ring to face Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship, the crowd erupted in cheers and flashed their phones to create a sea of fireflies, similar to Bray Wyatt’s signature entrance. The emotional moment brought back fond memories of Wyatt’s legendary performances, and Jey Uso was visibly moved by the tribute.
“I felt like Bray was with me, you know? I felt his energy,” Jey Uso said, fighting back tears in the interview. “It was an incredible feeling, knowing that he was looking over me, guiding me, and giving me that energy.”
Despite ultimately coming up short against Damian Priest, Jey Uso’s entrance stole the show and left a lasting impact on the WWE universe. The emotional moment was made even more special by the involvement of Bray Wyatt, who was known for his intense and theatrical performances.
Jey Uso has since bounced back from his defeat, inserting himself into the 2024 King of the Ring tournament and defeating Finn Balor to advance to the Quarterfinals. With his sights set on the coveted title, Jey will face Ilja Dragunov in the next round, with the possibility of facing Gunther, Kofi Kingston, or Rey Mysterio in the Semifinals.
As Jey Uso continues his journey in the King of the Ring tournament, WWE fans will be eager to see if he can channel the energy and spirit of Bray Wyatt to propel him to victory. With his electric entrance still fresh in their minds, Jey Uso has the entire WWE universe rooting for him to bring home the crown.
