However, the action doesn’t end there as Rhodes is slated to go head-to-head with Reigns for the Universal title on Night Two, intensifying the stakes even further.
Amidst the formidable unity of The Bloodline, speculation runs rife about who Rhodes can enlist for aid during his WrestleMania showdown.
Among the names swirling in the rumor mill is that of his half-brother, Dustin Rhodes, better known to wrestling fans as Goldust.
Despite Dustin currently plying his trade in AEW, fans are eager to witness his involvement in Rhodes’ narrative. Kevin Sullivan, a legendary figure in WWE, shared his perspective on how WWE could leverage Dustin’s return.
Speaking on the Tuesdays with Taskmaster podcast, Sullivan emphasized the importance of timing in integrating Dustin and even Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes, into the storyline post-WrestleMania.
“I think later it would be cool [to add Dustin Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes to the storyline], but right now they’ve focused in, they got it under the microscope and they’re dialing it in and they want it perfect,” Sullivan articulated. “I don’t think they want to do anything to take away from the seriousness — and this isn’t knocking anybody — but this thing they’ve got now is very fragile. Meanwhile, on his Cheap Heat podcast, Peter Rosenberg made bold predictions regarding Dustin Rhodes’ potential return at WrestleMania 40.
Rosenberg envisaged The Bloodline prevailing over Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night One, setting the stage for Rhodes to face Reigns under Bloodline’s stipulations the following night.
Additionally, he speculated about Dustin making a triumphant return to WWE after five years to bolster his brother’s efforts against The Tribal Chief and his clan.
